Kings Local School District

The Kings Local School District in southwest Ohio is part of a larger community of residents of varying degrees of socio economic levels. The district counselors in cooperation with the larger community has started this web site to identify the needs of families and find community organizations that wish to help those families.


Community Organizations

Community organizations are welcome to sponsor families in need during the Christmas season. Our goal is to provide organizations with family member needs so they can donate three gifts per family member for Christmas.


Families in Need

All family information is kept confidential. The community organizations won't know who they are helping unless it is welcomed by the family. Parents are asked to specify needs for their children so Christmas is a true joy.

Our Philosophy

Our goal is to provide families in need the ability to give gifts to their children. We do this by leaning on community sponsors who can provide low cost gifts to the family. The family then wraps the gifts provided so they can participate in the gift giving to their children. Philosophically, providing three gifts at $25 each gift teaches families they can obtain the goal of providing sometime in the future. Additionally, it sets expectations for their children as to the types of gifts they can expect in the future.




What Kinds of Gifts?

Three gifts at $25 each (gift) per child. We generally want you to supply one toy and two items for clothing. The program is limited to the Kings community currently.

For the Family

Often times the family will want blankets or pots and pans or other items they can use everyday. Getting a family gift in addition to children gifts is a great idea.

Who Can Receive Gifts?

We serve families in need who have been referred to us from trusted partners in the community. Trusted partners such as Kings Guidance Counselors, local churches and community organizations provide us with a list of names. However, if you are in need you can contact your child's school guidance counselor for a referral form.

Families in Need

If your family is in need this holiday season we can help. This doesn't mean we will fulfill all of your physical needs this Christmas. Our goal is to help you provide your family with a wonderful Christmas that begins with knowing your community loves you as Christ loves all His children.




What You Can Expect

What You Will Receive

You will receive unwrapped gifts. We will help provide wrapping paper and other items so you can wrap these gifts for your family. You will be able to pickup these gifts the second and third Saturday in December at the KEC Building in the Kings Local School District. If you cannot pickup your gifts, we can arrange drop off in some cases.

Sponsor a Family

The King's community is a very positive and blessed community. If your an organization or a family who wants to share the Christmas spirit, you can do so in through our intentional approach. Help bring dignity and a realistic Christmas to a Kings Family that may simply be having a bad year or a difficult time during the holidays.

Pick a single family or a group of families to help

We like sponsors to take a whole family not individuals. Why? Because then we can assure gifts are inline across family members. We ask that you make sure gifts are equal in value to the children in the family.

Please return your gifts unwrapped and use the assigned identifier provided to you for your family(s). We will let you know when we have these dates ready for you.

About Us

We are a family foundation that is coordinating with the Kings Local School District Counselors and local organizations to bring Christmas to families in need. We believe in teaching organizations in our community to walk alongside families in need and not just doing for families in need. Our faith and biblical principles are our guiding principal. We want to work with both secular and non-secular organizations in the community to provide help to those in need.
